Wind Energy

Wind energy provides a simple renewable, economic, safe environmentally friendly source of power for your home or farm. Electricity generated from the wind replaces generation from conventional power stations, thus preventing the emissions of several greenhouse gases, including carbon and sulphur dioxides.

Wind turbines start operating at wind speeds of 4 to 5 metres per second (around 10 miles an hour) and reach maximum power output at around 15 metres/second (around 33 miles per hour). In gale force winds (25 metres/second, 50+ miles/hour) wind turbines shut down to reduce unnecessary wear and tear.

An individual wind turbine will generate electricity for 70-85% of the time and its electricity output varies between zero and its full, "rated" output in accordance with the wind speed

Wind energy is free it belongs to all of us and it can be used to power your home, your farm, reduce pollution, lower electric bills and decrease dependence on oil.

Wind turbines are available in the 3kW, and the 6kW, varities, which can provide most of your requirements
